With 39 performances at the Festival Theatre Edinburgh, before a six-week Canadian Tour in Toronto, The Secret Garden musical is a huge undertaking for even the most seasoned professionals, but for the young performers who play the child parts of Mary and Colin the comittment is even bigger. The long working hours will be split between two children in each role of Mary and Colin, with a third child on hand as an understudy for each part. 12-year-old Ellie Coldicutt from The Kingsley School in Warwickshire will be our second Mary Lennox, sharing the role with Sophie Kavanagh, whilst Cara Duffy will understudy the part. All of the girls are extremely excited to be involved in The Secret Garden and we think they’re amazing for taking part in such an ambitious project.
