Getting a slightly warped preview of Edinburgh as I am currently up here at the Fringe Festival with The Emperor’s Quest, a lovely funny children’s musical which is getting 5* reviews (plus, my composer friend has just been shortlisted for an MTM Award for the show too!! Hope you can come see it at C Venue.
This is my first experience of Edinburgh and the Fringe – it is frantic, frenetic and disorganised but amazing! Still, I can’t wait to be back up here at Christmas for The Secret Garden – I hope there will be less rain (!?) and more snow… and I am looking forward to experiencing Edinburgh more at its natural rhythm.
I have managed to find some favourite spots away from Fringe madness – the Botanic Gardens, the National Gallery (gorgeous Impressionist Garden exhibition at the mo) and the many many lovely cafes around Dundas and Broughton St… still not climbed Arthur’s Seat though and currently trying to organise my first bagpipe lesson with a piper called Alex (watch this space).
So excited that I will be returning to Edinburgh in December with The Secret Garden – and just can’t wait to meet our amazing cast and team xx
